NeuroScapes are visual interpretations of digitally reconstructed neurons. It is fascinating that this structures are actually engravings of thoughts, memories, emotions. I wanted to contrast the intangibility of the mind with its underlying physical counterparts by transforming the neuron data into imaginary landscapes.
The work was commissioned by Zuni Icosahedron for a theatre production about the philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein, directed by Mathias Woo.
